There is ample parking space for boats and vehicles. American River is renowned for fishing, especially King George Whiting and for the peace and tranquil settings. There is a boat ramp, IGA store and liquor outlet, post office and eateries located in the main street. There is also a coffee shop that opens during the busy season and at weekends.
